Restart your device
One of the most effective and old method is to reboot the smartphone. So, restart your device. Now, try to access the Google Assistant. It should work just fine.
Clear App Cache
To do this,
- Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > See All Apps
- Scroll Down to Google App > tap on it
- Storage & Cache
- Tap on Clear Cache icon
- Now try to re-access Google Assistant
Re-Enabling Google App
- Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > See All Apps
- Scroll down and open the Google app
- Under App info, if the App is disabled, tap on Enable
In another case if the Google App is enabled and still the Google Assistant is not showing up you can try disabling and reenabling it.
This is what you have to do.
- Under App Info, tap on Disable
- You will see a warning message. Still tap on Disable App.
- Again, like we did in the previous section, tap on Enable.
