At the time of writing this article, only the Apple TV app supports its Spatial Sound feature. But don’t worry, as more and more apps will arrive soon with the support of this.

How to Enable Spatial Audio for AirPods on iPhone and iPad

  • Make sure that the AirPods or AirPods Pro are connected to your iPhone or iPad. Place them into your ears.

  • Tap on Bluetooth > Tap on the “i” icon next to the connected AirPods from the list.
  • Scroll below and check whether the Spatial Audio toggle is enabled or not.
  • If not turned on or available, then you will need to update your AirPods/AirPods Pro firmware to its latest version. Once done, reset the AirPods from the pairing list and re-pair them again with your iPhone or iPad.
