First, you need to have a phone with you which is preferably charged up well. The next thing you need is a Google account with proper information about the login credentials. You need to know what is the username and the password for one particular Google which you will need to control and configure your smart home assistant. Next, you need to download the Google Home App and make sure that it has all the required permissions for access, including the information of your current location.

Once you have all of these lined, now you just need to plug in your assistant into a power supply and turn it on. Once the Google Home, Nest, or Home Mini is booted up, a notification will go to your phone on your Google Home app. You can just tap the notification, or you can open up the app and use the “+” button to look and choose either the Google Home, Nest, or Home Mini. Once you do select on your device, just like how it is with Bluetooth pairing, you will have to match up numbers on your assistant and smartphone and pair them up.
